expressive and evocative artworks inspired by colour, nature and landscape

  • Sue King Art - View Art

    art

Working with colour, pattern and texture, my sketches and paintings are inspired by landscape, light and nature, using an expressive style to evoke a feeling and atmosphere. Never prescriptive in composition, they are more about my feelings and responses, often taking prompts from sketches or my own photography.

  • Sue King Art - View Fused Glass

    fused glass

Fused glass is a wonderful technique which allows a design to be either painterly in style or quite graphic. My collection includes unique tableware pieces such as dishes or platters, and smaller hanging panels. Working with colour and pattern, my designs are inspired by mid-century with a contemporary twist.

Sue King Art - Therapeutic Art Classes - View Healing Art

therapeutic art classes

Art for me, is an incredibly important healing practice and I love to share this with others. Inspiring both young and old, with art and sharing in their enjoyment and feeling of achievement gives me great satisfaction.

about me

I have loved art all my life from a young age, and I have been very fortunate to have been able to work with art and design since my first job after leaving college. From hotel interior design, to creating fused glass for commissions, and more recently running after school art classes for children, my career has evolved developing different skills along the way. Art and creativity is present in everything that I do and love. It continues to give me great joy and purpose, along with inspiring others to share in their own discovery of how art can make them feel.
